FSI are able to provide high threat environment close protection through the provision of Private Security Details (PSD). As a minimum each PSD is comprised of an experienced Team Leader, a 2i/c / Medic and 2 Drivers in 2 armoured vehicles that are tracked through the Track 24 solution using GSM or satellite communications dependent on the operating environment. All members of the PSD adhere to proven Standard Operating Procedures and are armed with an assault rifle and side arm and carry a standard load of spare ammunition, smoke grenades and a personal trauma kit in their assault vest. A team trauma pack is held in the vehicle with the 2i/c / Medic and communications between the vehicles are established through a VHF network or Codan radio system. Personal Protection Equipment is provided for the client and FSI team alike. The size and composition of the PSD is dependent on the area of operations and clients need and will be advised after a Task Risk Assessment has been undertaken.
